How much does a new floor cost?
It varies. Carpet for a single bedroom can be from a few hundred pounds; a hallway, lounge and stairs in mid-range engineered wood is usually a few thousand. We always quote upfront after seeing the room — no obligation, and what we quote is what you pay.
How long does fitting take?
Most single rooms are done in a day. A full-house carpet job is one to two days. Engineered wood and herringbone parquet can be three to five days for a whole ground floor because of prep, acclimatisation and laying time.
Do you take up the old flooring?
Yes — takeup, disposal and full floor preparation are included as standard on every quote. We’ll also help shift heavier furniture if needed.
Can I have it over underfloor heating?
Engineered wood, LVT and most modern laminates are compatible with underfloor heating. We’ll talk you through which materials suit your specific UFH system at the home visit.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to four weeks is typical from quote to fitting day. Summer and pre-Christmas tend to be busiest, so book early if you’ve got a deadline.
Where do you supply your materials from?
UK suppliers and respected manufacturers — Cormar, Cavalier, Karndean, Quick-Step and similar. We choose by quality and warranty, not just price.
